Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with machining or high-speed equipment.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret CMM reports, GD&T, and technical drawings.
  • Familiarity with quality control, inspection tools, and geometric tolerancing.
  • Able to read work instructions and complete basic production reports.
  • Must be physically able to perform tasks involving frequent bending, lifting (up to 25 lbs regularly), and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining control over the production line at all times which may require close interaction with Mfg. Engineering, Maintenance and Quality.
  • Perform troubleshooting activities on CNC Machines to gather root cause and escalate to Mfg. Engineering, Maintenance, Production and Quality.
  • Perform tool changes on CNC equipment including hobbing, grinding, milling, and turning machines.
  • Ensure all daily production activities are thoroughly communicated to Supervisors.
  • May be required to perform tasks associated with troubleshooting product quality and performance.
  • Maintain the production line in a safe, neat, clean and organized environment.
  • Assist as needed on the production line.
  • Respect work hours, support production goals and time-tables, which may require overtime.
  • Ensures the following: Utilizing knowledge of ISO14000 & TS16949 ensures all associates follow procedures and work instructions.
  • All production, scrap, and down time reports are completed properly and timely.
  • Product and/or component dimensions are checked via in-process inspection check sheets with use of various indicators and gauges as described in procedures or work instructions.
  • Equipment is monitored for unusual sounds, movements or appearance that may indicate problems. Addresses any abnormalities.
  • Changing of simple parts and fixtures to facilitate changeover of product types.
  • Visually and manually check for defects in product or workmanship.
  • Recording of process equipment settings and conditions using equipment verification check sheets.
