This position works out of our Minnetonka, MN, location in the Cardio Rhythmic Management (CRM) business. Main Purpose of Role: We are seeking an experienced Operations/Production Group Lead. This position ensures the effective use of material, equipment, and personnel in producing quality production. Responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy, cycle counts, and meeting build schedules. Assist the Production Supervisor to achieve the daily production schedules and quality goals. Provide work direction, workstation assignments and troubleshooting guidance and be a source of information for operators and support groups in the area. Coordinates the documentation/SFP completion/verifications and provides inputs for performance appraisal and may assist in the employee selection process. Escalate issues to Engineers as needed. Responsible for providing full support to the Supervisor. Coordinate jobs to keep lines moving and ensure line balance. Responsible for monitoring the performance of others, establishing work priorities or schedules, assignment of duties (operator work direction), and follow up with resolution of problems on the production floor. Will lead, guide, and direct the work of others as the primary non-supervisory lead person; typical team will consist of 10-30 workers Will work with their team to make sure production goals/metrics are met and will work with Supervisors, Engineers, and managers to resolve line issues and implement improvements Must have basic computer skills and be able to email production communications, print out processes and associated shop floor paperwork, and input data into Excel and MOS data files Participate in performance assessments by reporting on their skill development and teamwork abilities Communicates certification, recertification, and training needs by reporting gaps in manufacturing personnel training and knowledge Make sure all medical device operators are certified prior to performing manufacturing processes on their own Assist with New Employee Orientation and employee onboarding Host periodic production meetings with operators, management, quality, and engineering Hold small Tier 1 meetings, encourage and lead 5S, safety, and continuous improvement communications Coordinate work assignments for team Print work orders in SAP Provides input to CI efforts to Quality and Engineering Selects methods and practices to solve problems using ingenuity, creativity, and a high degree of independent action and initiative Assist with interviewing of medical device candidates This position reports to the Production Supervisor and is responsible for assigning training and leading a small team to assemble medical devices in accordance with approved manufacturing and quality inspection procedures

Requirements

  • High School Diploma / GED an equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum 5 years preferred Related Experience
  • Experience with assembly, manufacturing, and have basic computer skills (e.g. Outlook, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel))
