Work location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX (on-site) Scope/Summary: The Group Lead, Warehouse Operations is an experienced functional role that provides guidance, work levelling, assistance, and leadership to a team of Distribution, Logistics, and / or Material Control employees. To assure team continuity across all warehouse operations, this position is expected to gain and maintain knowledge of all aspects of warehouse operations functional execution within the local geography with limited exception. The role works collaboratively with key business partners to ensure timeliness of execution, replenishment, accuracy, condition, and / or other. Interacting with all aspects of CooperSurgical to meet business requirements. The role also works closely with these business partners to identify and implement best practices and address challenges timely and appropriately using a coordinated effort.

Requirements

  • Proficient using Microsoft office suite, MRP, and other automation software and programs
  • Experience pulling data from ERP, WMS and TMS preferred
  • Healthcare, medical device or other manufacturing in a regulated environment experience desired
  • Self-motivated and able to proactively solve problems both independently and as part of a broader organization
  • Communication both internally and externally
  • Foster team centric environment
  • Maintain positive and cooperative communications and collaboration with all levels of employees, customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • High School graduate
  • 4 years related disciplines experience required, 6 years overall with 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
  • Previous forklift experience (counterbalance, swing mast, stock picker, reach truck) preferred, if none, ability to become certified required
  • A wide and comprehensive knowledge of general and specific aspects of the position and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily required.
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years advanced education preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assure staff remain level loaded throughout the shift, adjusting as needed in areas of assignment
  • Primary contact point for other functional groups for delegation and reduce indirect distraction.
  • Lead tactical troubleshooting of challenges in area of report.
  • Assist in staff assessments, assignments, training plans, and projects.
  • Assist in the development of improvement strategies and execution plans
  • Support and foster team empowerment and lead by example
  • Cycle Counting coordination and / or execution as assigned.
  • Follow all provided control procedures and policies to complete tasks
  • Lead engagement activities assuring promotion of a safe work environment.
  • Functionally work within a team to complete shop floor execution daily requirements
  • Lead coordination efforts and flow of product through the areas of report including but not limited to transacting, storage, labeling, movement, packaging, shipment, and return from field and/or stock.
  • Performs additional duties or assignments as directed by management
