Group Home Manager – Residential Services | Full-Time | Ocean County, NJ Pay: A salary of $61,713.60 Schedule: Full-Time, flexible hours to support program needs (evenings/weekends as required); Will also be on call for 1 out of 4 weeks in a month (will receive stipend pay if called in) Lead a Team. As a Residential Group Home Manager , you will oversee the daily operations of a residential program, ensuring high-quality care, safety, and support for the individuals we serve—while leading and mentoring the staff who make it all possible. As a Group Home Manager, you play a vital role in bringing this mission to life each and every day. What You’ll Do You will be responsible for planning, supervising, managing, and directing the overall operation of the group home, including: Leadership & Staff Management Interview, train, supervise, and evaluate residential staff and Assistant Managers Ensure staff are current with all employment and training requirements Review staff timecards at least twice weekly Submit and maintain two weeks of advance schedules Oversee scheduling, coverage, and assignment of responsibilities Support staff in their duties and maintain a positive, professional team environment Participate in the agency’s on-call rotation Individual Support & Program Oversight Teach life skills and support personal and social development toward greater independence Encourage and facilitate recreational, social, and community-based activities Develop, write, and monitor Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and Individual Habilitation Plans (IHPs) Track progress on residents’ annual goals and behavioral support plans Ensure all individuals receive necessary medical, dental, psychological, pharmaceutical, and behavioral services Empower individuals to self-advocate for their health and personal needs Compliance, Safety, & Documentation Ensure the home remains safe, secure, and home-like at all times Maintain accurate logs, records, and documentation in accordance with: Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) Department of Human Services (DHS) Department of Children and Families (DCF) Other state/federal regulatory bodies Accurately report incidents in a timely and comprehensive manner Cooperate fully with inspections, investigations, and audits Program Operations & Financial Oversight Manage program and client expenditures, including budgeting and monitoring financial activity Seek alternative financial assistance when needed Maintain supplies, household needs, and program resources Ensure confidentiality and protect residents’ rights and freedoms Communication & Professionalism Communicate effectively with staff, families, guardians, caseworkers, medical providers, and regulatory partners Model sound judgment, problem-solving skills, and professional conduct Support the agency’s mission, values, and culture in daily operations Why You’ll Love Working Here At The Arc, our managers are supported with strong benefits, ongoing training, and the opportunity to grow within a mission-driven organization and succeed.
