About The Position

MARC, Inc. is seeking a Group Home Manager to oversee a residence of individuals with developmental disabilities. This position would be responsible for the daily activities including taking care of and overseeing the home, finances, and proper nutrition. In addition, this individual will be responsible for ensuring all necessary documentation is complete, as well as scheduling staff , accompanying our people we serve to medical appointments, reporting health status changes to the nurse and communicating with day service staff. They will develop natural supports and assist individuals with personal growth and reaching their goals. The ideal candidate will have compassion, previous experience assisting adults with special needs, strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as good judgment. Full-Time position available; Flexible hours to include nights and weekends.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years in human services. Two years in a supervisory role preferred.
  • Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, PMT and DDS Medication Administration Certification within six months of hire and maintain throughout duration of employment at MARC, Inc.
  • Ability to act quickly and remain calm in a crisis
  • Valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle in order to transport people served as needed.
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written

  • Must be able to complete all essential job duties, minimum qualifications, and physical efforts with or without a disability.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of daily operations in the group home, including scheduling, staff coordination, and resident support plans.
  • Ensure individualized care plans are implemented effectively and updated as needed.
  • Promote a home environment that supports dignity, independence, and community integration for residents.
  • Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate direct support professionals.
  • Develop staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, performance management, and professional development.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g. licensing requirements, Medicaid, HCBS Waiver).
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation, including incident reports, medication administration records (MARs), and progress notes.
  • Prepare for and participate in inspections, audits, and reviews
  • Coordinate medical appointments and other support services for residents. Communicate doctor’s orders, update staff logs of any medication changes.
  • Follow up with supervisor and house nursing
  • Act as a liaison with families, guardians, service coordinators, and other professionals.
  • Advocate for the rights and well-being of residents.
  • Monitor household budgets, review financial books weekly and household money daily.
  • Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of the home to ensure safety and comfort.

  • Perform monthly residence fire drills and home inspection forms
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Residential Director
