The Group Facilitator is responsible for facilitating groups at the outpatient level of care (PHP & IOP). This role involves participating in de-escalation or crisis intervention when necessary and communicating pertinent information to the primary treatment team. The facilitator collaborates with the Program Director and/or Clinical Director and other professional staff to help develop a comprehensive program of therapy, evaluation, and treatment. Key duties include facilitating various groups, workshops, and educational sessions according to the program schedule, and ensuring all group notes and patient medical records are documented immediately and accurately. The position requires adherence to company policies, procedures, and Joint Commission standards and regulations concerning patient care and compliance. The Group Facilitator also assesses suicidality and potential danger to self or others, provides psychoeducation to patients as needed, and models appropriate eating behaviors during assigned meals. Travel to other facilities for trainings may be required.
