About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is a nationwide network of drug and alcohol rehab centers, providing an evidence-based clinical curriculum and highly individualized care across various programs including detox, residential, PHP, IOP, and outpatient services. The Group Facilitator will conduct group therapy, psychoeducation, and process groups designed to meet each client's challenges and needs. This role involves assisting clients in developing healthy coping skills, positive behaviors, and recovery tools. The facilitator will collaborate consistently with clinical staff to track client challenges and progress, escalating any significant client concerns to the Clinical Director. Additionally, the position requires maintaining thorough documentation of all group sessions conducted and ensuring all clinical assessments and individual client charting are completed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling or related field required
Valid state licensure / certification necessary to practice in this role, i.e. CIT, RAC, CAC, LMSW, LCSW, PLPC, or LPC
Substance abuse experience required
Excellent observational, collaborative and interpersonal skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Compassionate, dignified character which models recovery principles
Ability to set strong boundaries and maintain absolute confidentiality
