About The Position

The Group Controller position at a Fortune 500 manufacturing company in Paramount, CA, is a senior-level role responsible for leading the financial management across three sites. This position focuses on ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate reporting requirements, maximizing financial asset returns, and supporting revenue and EBIT growth through accurate financial reporting and analysis. The Controller will also oversee the financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance tracking, while leading process improvement initiatives and mentoring staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of seven years related experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least two years in a leadership role.
  • Working knowledge of standard costing systems, budgets, and forecasting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; working knowledge of Oracle.
  • Excellent organization, time management, and project planning skills.
  • Ability to analyze problems and identify solutions.
  • Excellent supervisory skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration from an accredited institution.
  • Working knowledge of the Aerospace industry.
  • Familiarity with PCC accounting processes.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with PCC Code of Conduct Requirements.
  • Derive business insights from financial and strategic analysis and synthesize high impact recommendations for management.
  • Work with business unit leadership to establish goals for sales, profitability, and productivity.
  • Analyze and publish financial reports including consolidated financials and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Provide strategic financial analysis to internal customers as required.
  • Support financial forecasting and annual business plan development.
  • Align business performance to monthly, quarterly, and annual plans.
  • Review monthly forecasts and annual plans, providing insights to management.
  • Lead process improvement projects for performance enhancement.
  • Develop and maintain performance forecasting models under various scenarios.
  • Critically evaluate capital requests for strategic alignment.
  • Collaborate with management on ad hoc and ongoing analysis.
  • Support special projects and conduct ad-hoc financial data analysis.
  • Implement and improve daily performance management systems.
  • Effectively lead department staff through coaching and development.
