About The Position

The Group Sales & Event Manager is a dynamic, results-driven professional responsible for prospecting, selling, and servicing small to mid-size corporate group business. This role blends sales strategy with hands-on event execution, ensuring a seamless experience from initial inquiry through final billing. This position plays a critical role in capturing short-term, high-volume group opportunities (“express groups”) while delivering exceptional service that reflects the elevated standards of HALL Park Hotel.

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of experience in hotel sales, catering, and event management
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • A passion for hospitality, service excellence, and relationship building

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing corporate group or express group business preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of CI/TY, Cvent, and Marriott systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Proactively prospect, qualify, and close corporate group business
  • Manage inbound leads from CI/TY, Cvent, Marriott channels, and direct inquiries
  • Develop and present custom proposals, contracts, and pricing strategies
  • Negotiate effectively to maximize guestroom revenue, meeting space utilization, and ancillary spend
  • Consistently meet and exceed revenue, conversion, and pace goals
  • Serve as the primary contact for groups from contract through execution
  • Lead event detailing, including BEO creation, timelines, and setup requirements
  • Conduct site tours, planning meetings, and pre-conference meetings
  • Partner closely with banquets, culinary, AV, and operations teams to ensure flawless execution
  • Provide on-site support when needed to ensure exceptional guest experiences
  • Cultivate strong relationships with corporate clients, planners, and repeat accounts
  • Deliver a high-touch, responsive service experience aligned with luxury standards
  • Identify opportunities for repeat business and referrals
  • Anticipate client needs and offer creative, tailored solutions
  • Maintain accurate and timely updates in CI/TY systems and sales platforms
  • Ensure compliance with Marriott and property SOPs, including contracts, deposits, and reporting
  • Collaborate with sales, catering, and revenue teams to align on inventory and pricing strategies
  • Manage a fast-paced pipeline with efficiency, attention to detail, and accountability
