About The Position

General Summary: Maintain golf course and landscaping around the course, clubhouse and other club facilities, including parking lots. Responsibilities and Duties: +Supervisor Responsibilities None Primary Duties Trims trees; removes cuttings. Maintains landscape beds around clubhouse and club grounds. Rakes and blows leaves. Prepares and lays sod. Rakes bunkers. Loads and unloads materials. Repairs and maintains driving range tees. Cleans equipment used in practice area. Operates walk-behind equipment. Aerifies and spikes greens. Helps with drainage projects. Empties garbage cans. Participates in departmental and club training meetings. Performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Golf Course Maintenance Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent.

Requirements

  • Willingness to learn and adapt to varied and added responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstration of cooperation, interest, and enthusiasm in support of the club’s mission, vision, values, goals, and objectives.
  • Assures development, implementation, and review of policies and procedures which guide and support provisions of designated services.
  • Demonstration of effective inter-disciplinary cooperation and assists with improvement in interdepartmental communications
  • Perform with frequent interruptions and/or distractions
  • Six months of experience in golf course grounds maintenance or greens keeping preferred but not required.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of golf course operations and irrigation systems preferred but not required.
