About The Position

University Partners is a vertically integrated student housing and multifamily owner-operator with communities nationwide. Our Groundskeepers play a key role in keeping our communities clean, safe, and looking their best every day. The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the community’s common areas and grounds. This role supports day-to-day property operations by ensuring outdoor spaces, amenities, and shared areas are clean, well-kept, and resident-ready at all times. The Groundskeeper also assists with light maintenance and landscaping tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of cleaning products and safety procedures
  • Ability to follow instructions and prioritize daily tasks

  • Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
  • Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • Ability to lift, bend, walk, and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work weekends or overtime as needed

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, landscaping, or custodial work preferred
  • Familiarity with basic tools, light maintenance tasks, and small equipment a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness of all community grounds, breezeways, and common areas
  • Clean and monitor trash and recycling areas; report overflows or issues promptly
  • Clean amenity spaces including clubhouse, model units, pool areas, sport courts, and restrooms
  • Perform routine grounds walks to identify debris, safety concerns, or maintenance needs
  • Assist with minor work orders and light maintenance tasks as directed
  • Support pressure washing, custodial cleaning, and seasonal upkeep projects
  • Assist with pool maintenance and daily chemical logs when assigned
  • Deliver resident correspondence or packages as needed
  • Work alongside vendors during move-ins, move-outs, and unit turns
  • Communicate regularly with the Maintenance Supervisor regarding priorities and issues
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies; report needs or damage promptly
  • Provide weekend or overtime coverage as scheduled
