About The Position

We are looking for a full time Grounds Person and Roof washer to join our team based in Tuakau.
In this role, no two days are ever the same. You’ll be responsible for grounds person duties, general maintenance & roof washing at one of our largest sites in Covered Crops, ensuring tidy grounds presentation and clean glass on site.

Requirements

• Experience as a grounds-person, handyman, or other similar trades, forestry, maintenance or caretaker role
• Technically savvy - you're able to use a variety of equipment and problem solve where necessary
• Strong initiative, problem solving and a positive attitude
• Flexibility - this is a full-time role working predominantly dayshift, some night shift work will be required for periods of time in Autumn and Spring for roof product application and washing.
• Proof of eligibility to work in New Zealand is required for all applicants, we are not able to sponsor visa applications for this position.
• Any offer of employment will be subject to a satisfactory drug test and security check.

Responsibilities

• Grounds maintenance including mowing lawns, trimming trees, weed spraying
• Equipment operation including chainsaws, weed eaters and tractors
• Roof & gutter cleaning and basic machine maintenance
• General maintenance - including repairs and checks for irrigation, crop rotation, and glasshouse infrastructure
