What you will have an opportunity to do: We are looking for a someone who loves to work with mechanical equipment, who is highly motivated, and detail oriented to join our team as a Mechanic! In this role, you will play a key part in creating a world-class experience for our guests! This role makes major and minor repairs on a variety of powered equipment used at the resort. The Mechanic ensures that all the equipment is operationally sound, properly serviced as necessary and up to date with every safety device working as intended. You will be working closely with different members of our team, so you will need to be quick on your feet and have an engaging attitude. If working with mechanical equipment, making meaningful connections, figuring out what it takes and stepping it up to win the day is what you do, and you love it, we want you! Primary area of emphasis surrounds maintenance on small equipment, grounds mowers and all resort vehicles. This position will also be assigned to participate in maintenance of park grounds, roadsides, landscaping, facilities, and equipment.

Requirements

Ability to communicate in written and oral forms.
Ability to work independently and in team setting.
Ability to interact well with others in a professional manner.
Ability to operate a variety of shop tools, small equipment and hand tools in safe manner.
Ability to adjust and learn new equipment and procedures.
5+ years experience of mechanical work

Nice To Haves

Experience in Grounds Maintenance and/or Landscaping is helpful.

Responsibilities

Maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs of small equipment, riding mowers, motor vehicles and tractors.
Daily/weekly/ monthly checks lists on all equipment and vehicles.
Keeps track of all maintenance logs of grounds equipment in Task Tracker.
Changes oil and greases equipment. Removes tires from rims and replaces them.
Maintains repair logs. Prepares and places parts orders.
Uses resort vehicles to pick up parts and supplies at various outlets throughout the community. Verifies receipt of materials and signs invoices. Submits invoices.
Uses pressure washer to clean equipment. Washes and waxes vehicles and equipment.
Sharpens blades on push mowers and riding mowers.
Checks mower heights on mowers
Maintains lawn areas at maintenance shop.
Ability to use walking and riding mowers, golf carts, utility carts, push mowers, and a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools to determine correct operation.
Cleans and maintains equipment that is used. Treats all equipment with care and respect. Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Performs daily custodial operations in maintenance shop and yard area. Maintains a clean and organized shop area and tool room. May perform light maintenance of buildings.
Must be well groomed. Dress requirements include assigned uniform with nametag. Uniform and nametag must be worn at all times while working on the property.
Must be well-mannered, greet guests and employees when encountered, and show appreciation to the guest for being at the resort, show willingness to help guests and employees at all times.
Reports problems encountered on site to supervisor immediately. Takes appropriate steps to address emergency situations.
Participates in the snow removal program.
To assist other departments as required.
Will perform additional duties as requested.
