This Grounds Maintenance position at Palomino Park is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, attractiveness, and safety of the common grounds and various facilities. Key duties include conducting safety and security checks on interior and exterior buildings for structural integrity, glass breakage, door damage, and overall safety issues within the PPOA common grounds and fence line, ensuring appropriate signage, and performing necessary repairs. The role involves handling basic preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, maintaining the landscaping and grounds daily, cleaning sidewalks, and properly disposing of debris and trash. The individual will also assist other staff with larger maintenance repairs or projects. Specific areas of upkeep include the pool area, pond, gazebo, gatehouse, clubhouse, tennis and pickleball courts, baseball, football, and soccer fields, PPOA streets and sidewalks, playground/sand pit, volleyball courts, and the dog park. Additionally, the position includes administrative support, such as assisting the supervisor with gathering information for RFPs from concept to completion, and filling in for the supervisor and direct reports, taking full responsibility for all aspects of Building and Ground Maintenance and upkeep. A Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification is required, with the option to obtain it by May 20th, 2026, with Palomino Park covering material costs and the first exam attempt (repayable if the employee leaves within one year).
