About The Position
Responsible for mowing, edging, weeding, debris removal, and general cleanliness and appearance of exterior areas. Responsibilities and duties of this position include but are not limited to: • Operate gas powered mowing equipment to cut grass to a height of 2 to 3 inches to present a uniform appearance. • Operates gas/electric powered Weed eating equipment. • Operates gas/electric powered Edging equipment. • Spread grass mulch clippings evenly to present a neat appearance. • Remove and dispose of trash and debris from the grounds. • Fill holes, ruts, and depressions with dirt to present a neat and even uniform appearance. • Spread granulated fertilizer at prescribed seasonal periods. • Perform basic equipment operation and safety checks. • Promote a positive relationship with the onsite customer. • Work quickly to complete assigned work in a specified period of time. • Other duties as assigned. This job has different activities during different seasons and at times you may be assigned duties which have not been clearly stated. • Pulling weeds • Sweeping paved areas. • Raking debris • Bagging trash and other debris • Safely replenish gas tanks on gas powered equipment • Safely install cutting line to gas powered weeding equipment
Requirements
- Must be able to: -Bend, stoop, lift and push, twist, turn and be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Pass a background check
- Work independently and with limited supervision. Most work will be performed alone.
- Work in a seasonable environment ranging from severe heat and humidity in the summer, to cold temperatures during winter months.
- Must be 21 years of age with a clean driving record going back 3 years.
