About The Position

Under general supervision, performs semi-skilled laboring tasks focusing on planters, weed removal, and tree care, in the parks department. Takes initiative to aid the city beyond general responsibilities. Flexible hours.

Requirements

• No previous experience necessary, on the job training provided
• 16 years of age or older and capable of physical work in all weather conditions
• May be required to possess a valid Utah driver's license

Responsibilities

• Performs basic horticulture, grounds keeping, cleaning, and planting
• Performs a variety of semiskilled and skilled duties in maintaining parks and recreation areas and environs.
• Mows, trims and edges lawns throughout the parks; repairs turf; cuts and cleans up uncontrolled weeds.
• Performs general grounds keeping duties.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
