About The Position
Flamingo Island Flea Market is seeking a reliable and hardworking Grounds & Maintenance Technician to help keep our outdoor and indoor facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained. This position plays a key role in ensuring a positive experience for vendors, customers, and staff by maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of the property. Requirements
- Previous janitorial or cleaning experience is a plus, but not required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting and bending
Responsibilities
- Perform general groundskeeping duties, including trash removal, sweeping, pressure washing, and landscaping upkeep
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, walkways, restrooms, and vendor spaces
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.)
- Set up and break down tables, tents, and equipment for vendors or special events
- Monitor property for safety hazards and report or correct issues promptly
- Assist with opening and closing duties as needed
- Respond to maintenance requests from management in a timely manner
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
