We are looking for a Landscaping/Grounds Lead to join our team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • 2 - years’ experience in a Landscaping lead role.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Must be able to operate zero turn lawnmowers, chainsaws, string trimmers, sprayers, hedge trimmers, rakes and shovels.
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs. unassisted
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and pass a drug and physical exam.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate landscaping projects from start to finish
  • Plan and schedule landscape maintenance and improvements
  • Communicate with customer to understand their landscaping needs and preferences
  • Source and budget materials and supplies for landscaping projects
  • Monitor and inspect work progress and quality on site
  • Provide training and guidance to staff
  • Build end execute schedule of services
  • Attend weekly meetings with government Contract Representatives
  • Cut grass, using walking-type and riding-type mowers
  • Trim hedges and edge around sidewalks, flower beds and other structures
  • Prune shrubs and trees to shape using shears, pole saws, and other hand tools
  • Spread mulch and pine-straw
  • Water flower beds or newly installed sod as needed
  • Weed removal from flower beds and planters
  • Post-storm clean-up including removal of fallen limbs and wind-blown debris
  • Use a blower and vacuum mulcher to clear sidewalks, streets, and parking lots of debris
  • Inspect, clean and account for all landscaping equipment
  • Report all concerns to Program Management
