About The Position

The Grounds and Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the appearance and functionality of buildings and surrounding grounds. This role involves preventive maintenance, repairs, and landscaping tasks to ensure facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in groundskeeping, building maintenance, or facilities work preferred
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely
• Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, landscaping, trees, shrubs, and flowerbeds
• Mow, edge, trim, and fertilize lawns as needed
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment and tools
• Assist with seasonal landscaping and outdoor projects
• Conduct minor repairs to walls, doors, windows, flooring, and fixtures
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks
• Replace light bulbs, filters, belts, and other consumables
• Paint and perform touch-up work as needed
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
• Keep accurate records of maintenance work performed
• Assist with setup and breakdown for events or projects
