St. Ann’s Community is seeking a full time Grounds assistant for the St. Ann's Home located on the Irondequoit campus. The main focus of this position is to assist the Ground leader or Facilities Manager on routine maintenance and/or construction/refurbishing projects within the community and grounds.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED Required
Minimum of 1 year related experience or training in construction and/or maintenance repair preferably in lawn and landscaping

Responsibilities

Assists senior Mechanics with equipment/machinery overhaul, requisitioning and installing parts under supervision
Constantly observes facility for areas in need of repair or cleaning, repairing or cleaning whenever possible or reporting to appropriate supervisory staff for immediate action or scheduling
Shovel and plow snow as required
Mows, seeds, rakes, waters, fertilizers and weeds lawns
Plants, transplants and prunes trees, shrubbery and flowers
Pick up grounds as required
