About The Position

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Ground Systems Engineer for a job opportunity supporting a federal company. This position is currently onsite in El Segundo, CA. The Ground Systems Engineer will assist numerous systems architecting and engineering activities, such as systems requirements definition, data architecture development, decision analysis, and configuration assessments, etc. Candidate must have an active TS/SCI clearance.

Requirements

14+ years of related experience and a bachelor's degree or 12+ years of related experience with a master's degree or 9+ years of related experience with a PhD.
5+ years' experience in architecting ground systems.
Experience in system requirements definition, design, interface management, and data architecture development.
Must have an active TS/SCI clearance (with ability to obtain a CI poly).

Responsibilities

Direct ground segment technical and interface requirements.
Oversee interface negotiation with external stakeholders.
Ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Support development of system engineering items (i.e. CONOPs, requirements definitions, system testing, algorithm document review, and interfaces to other application development efforts).
Support the growth and improvement of acquisition strategies, as well as identifying program execution issues and provide recommendations when needed.
