Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Ground Software Manager 3 to join our team of highly qualified and diverse individuals within the Eastern Region of Engineering in the DevSecOps organization. This position will be based in Dulles, VA. The DevSecOps organization is focused on supporting Agile, DevOps, Ground Software Development, and Cybersecurity implementation and transformation throughout the division. The team consists of multiple SMEs dedicated to supporting organizational and programmatic change, as well as being the functional home room for our Agile, DevOps, Ground Software and Cyber engineers. We are looking for a leader to oversee a team of approximately 80 Ground Software Engineers, providing leadership, guidance, and vision toward repeatable processes that will enable the team to achieve predictable and balanced results while satisfying the needs of internal and external partners. In this role, you will be responsible for the functional management of a large and growing team of Software Developers and Software Testers, assigned to programs within Space Systems. Management duties include: Employee development Staffing Communication meetings Compensation adjustments Training, educational oversight, and approval Routine personnel issues Management duties are expected to constitute 50% of your time, with the remaining 50% will be spent on other technical activities. These other technical activities may include Ground Software Support, Project Management Support, or direct program support depending on your skills and organizational need.
