About The Position

The Grocery/Relief Assistant Department Leader is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service, maintaining a safe and clean environment, and achieving sales and profit goals for the department. This role involves monitoring quality assurance standards, assisting in directing and supervising department functions, and supporting day-to-day Grocery operations. The individual is expected to demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. Fred Meyer, a part of The Kroger Company, serves customers in over 120 stores across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska. Responsibilities

• Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service
• Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return
• Achieve sales and profit goals established for the department
• Monitor and control all established quality assurance standards
• Assist in directing and supervising all functions, duties and activities for the department
• Support the day-to-day functions of the Grocery operations
