GROCERY/RELIEF ASST DEPT LEADER
About The Position
The Grocery/Relief Asst Dept Leader is responsible for creating an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service, establishing and maintaining a safe and clean environment, and achieving sales and profit goals for the department. This role also involves monitoring and controlling quality assurance standards, assisting in directing and supervising department functions, and supporting day-to-day Grocery operations. The individual is expected to demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety of others. Fred Meyer, based in Portland, Oregon, merged with The Kroger Company in 1998 and serves customers in over 120 stores across Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska. Responsibilities
- Create an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service
- Establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return
- Achieve sales and profit goals established for the department
- Monitor and control all established quality assurance standards
- Assist in directing and supervising all functions, duties and activities for the department
- Support the day-to-day functions of the Grocery operations
- Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others
