Requirements
- Honest, trustworthy and reliable.
- Hardworking.
- Physical ability to preform heavy work, exerting up to 100lbs of force occasionally and/or in excess of 50lbs force frequently.
- Comfortable working in extreme heat and cold.
Responsibilities
- The Grit Blast Operator is responsible for preparing equipment surfaces for painting by performing bead blasting to ensure optimal adhesion and finish quality.
- Preparation of units for painting including blasting, sanding, and grinding; ensure the complete removal of paint during this process.
- Responsible for appropriately operating the equipment for blasting, sanding and grinding; Will be held accountable for any units that are damaged beyond use.
- Responsible for ensuring that all taping and masking is done to each unit that requires it to ensues that no damage is caused to the unit insides or outsides during the blasting process.
- Basic maintenance and troubleshooting on blasting equipment.
- Transport equipment to proper areas after completion of the blasting operation.
- Work requires close interaction with other associates. Must be able to function in a team-oriented environment.
