Grede is seeking a Grinder to operate one or more types of chipping, grinding, and cutting equipment to remove undesirable projections or surplus metal (fins, burrs, gates, and risers) from sand castings. Requirements

Must be able to stand, bend, twist, knell, walk for 10+ hours.
Must be able to push, pull or lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to work in an extremely hot environment.
Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
Must be able to pass respirator fit test and comply with requirements when working in regulated areas.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED
One to two years manufacturing experience

Responsibilities

Operate band saw, abrasive saw, sand grinder, belt grinder and portable pneumatic grinding tools.
Use of a variety of hand tools including hammers, cold chisels and files.
May also require the operation and/or loading of the blast cleaning machine.
Report production quantities and items for each work order.
Perform any and all other job-related tasks as assigned.
