About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Grinder & Shop Helper to join a reputable company in Shreveport, LA. This position involves a variety of production support and general labor tasks, requiring mechanical aptitude and attention to safety. Job Summary: You will assist with shop operations by safely operating power tools, forklifts, and overhead cranes, assembling pallets, preparing shipments, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or shop environment preferred
• Ability to safely operate hand and power tools, forklift, and crane
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic

Responsibilities

• Safely operate grinders, chop saws, nail guns, and other power tools
• Build pallets to size for shipment of materials
• Safely operate an overhead crane and forklift
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
• Maintain accurate inventory and assist with physical inventory counts
• Load and unload materials and products
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Wear proper PPE at all times
• Assist with additional shop duties as assigned
