High performance in 3 Adult Specialties and 12 Procedures/Conditions. Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Grill Cook to join our Food & Nutrition Services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, ensuring timely service, and upholding the standards of excellence expected at Orlando Health.
Requirements
- Ability to read, recognize, and differentiate between words and series of numbers.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
- No prior experience required.
Responsibilities
- Prepare food items by following recipes and/or product directions for grilling, theme areas, or pizza.
- Adhere to production plans as assigned by the shift supervisor.
- Utilize basic food preparation techniques, including receiving, storing, preparing, cooking to order, and holding food items.
- Apply knowledge of food service sanitation and infection control procedures.
- Follow HACCP guidelines and practices.
- Communicate effectively with the Executive Chef, Food & Nutrition Supervisor, Group Leaders, and peers.
- Assist in other areas of Food & Nutrition as needed.
- Comply with hospital standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and legal standards.
