About The Position

Greets customers with a courteous and friendly manner. Our customers are our #1 priority. Takes customers order and prepares the order according to recipe and procedures set by chef, keeping in mind guest specifications or dietary needs. Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items. May occasional assist in caterings, set up and breakdown. Maintain proper and adequate set-up and breakdown of the station on a daily basis. Follow and complete all items required as listed on prep list and par list. Responsible for set up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and breakdown of grill station fryers. Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storage of all perishables daily to ensure product quality. Inform manger/chef immediately of product shortages. Anticipates peak and non-peak service times; batch cooks food items accordingly. Completes any other job related duties needed to help drive to our Vision, fulfill our Purpose, and abide by our Organization’s Values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Active Serve Safe and Food Handler Certifications
  • Minimum of two (2) years of food service industry experience
  • Basic knife skills: chopping, peeling, slicing, julienne, dice
  • Able to operate point of sale and cash handling skills
  • Must be able to cook to order in front of customers
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent customer service, organizational skills, multi-tasking skills and time management skills
  • Work a majority of time managing the Cafe, which requires physical activity, including prolonged standing and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Our credit union café is open 7am to 2 pm and may work additional hours
  • Employees in this role are frequently exposed to hot water, potentially slippery floors, garbage disposals and cleaning chemicals.
