About The Position

Build the Models That Power the Modern Grid If you have deep experience in electric distribution engineering, GIS modeling, or ADMS configuration and you want to work on some of the most technically complex and consequential projects in utility technology, we want to meet you. Roles and Responsibilities We're seeking a Grid Modernization Specialist, Network Model Engineer to serve as a senior technical expert on ADMS implementations across North America. This role is built for someone who understands the network model as the foundation everything else depends on: outage management, FLISR, Volt/VAR optimization, power flow, DER integration, and beyond. When the model is wrong, the system fails. You're the person who makes sure it doesn't. In this role, you will lead the design, development, validation, and governance of the electrical network model supporting ADMS deployments for utility clients. You'll work closely with utility GIS teams, distribution engineers, control room operations, IT, and ADMS vendors to ensure the model accurately reflects real-world network conditions, from substation impedance definitions and three-phase phasing, to SCADA telemetry mapping and GIS to ADMS transformation logic. You'll own model quality across the full project lifecycle, from initial build through FAT, SAT, SIT, and UAT, all the way to cutover and go-live. Beyond the technical delivery, you'll help shape how utilities think about network model governance for the long term, establishing data standards, defining model maintenance workflows between GIS, SAP, and Aspen, contributing to control room SOPs, and providing thought leadership within our Grid Modernization practice on digital twin capabilities and emerging modeling requirements.

  • direct platform experience on systems such as Schneider Electric, GE, Siemens, OSI, or ABB
