Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of plants, gardening, and greenhouse operations.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures.

  • Previous retail or sales experience, preferably in a horticultural or garden center setting.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers by providing knowledgeable recommendations on plants, gardening supplies, and related products.
  • Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal of the greenhouse sales area to create an inviting shopping experience.
  • Manage inventory by restocking shelves, monitoring plant health, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure product availability.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle customer inquiries or concerns professionally.
  • Support marketing and promotional efforts by setting up displays, distributing informational materials, and participating in seasonal sales events.
