About The Position
Viviano Flower Shop is looking for a friendly and motivated part-time Greenhouse Associate who wants to work in our beautiful and bustling St. Clair Shores Greenhouse! Since our founding in 1937, the Viviano family and staff have worked earnestly to provide our patrons with beautiful fresh flowers, plants, and gifts complemented by outstanding artistry, service, and value. Requirements
- Availability to work weekends
- Willingness to work in a variety of weather conditions and seasons
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn plant care & identification
- Able to stand for long periods
- Able to frequently lift and carry up to 20 pounds
Nice To Haves
- Experience and interest in plants are helpful, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Creating arrangements of green and blooming plants for pick-up or delivery (willing to train)
- Assisting customers in plant problem troubleshooting (willing to train)
- Caring for plant material
- Maintaining greenhouse retail displays
- Unloading and unpacking plant shipments
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the greenhouse's retail and design areas
- Completing order requests
- Handling and processing of new merchandise and plant material
- Housekeeping of store and greenhouse areas
