About The Position

Green Lake Conference Center (GLCC) is seeking enthusiastic and hardworking individuals to join our Greenhouse & Grounds Team for the summer season. This position is ideal for those who enjoy working outdoors, have a passion for plants and landscaping, and take pride in maintaining beautiful, welcoming spaces. The Greenhouse & Grounds Team Member will assist with the care of plants, flowers, and gardens, as well as general groundskeeping tasks to ensure our property remains well-kept and inviting for guests.

Requirements

• Interest in horticulture, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor, standing or sitting, for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
• Positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in gardening, greenhouse work, or landscaping is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planting, watering, weeding, pruning, and maintaining flowers, shrubs, and trees.
• Work in the greenhouse, including starting seed and bulbs, potting plants, organizing inventory, and monitoring plant health.
• Mow lawns, trim edges, and maintain walking paths and outdoor spaces.
• Assist with mulching, weeding, fertilizing, and pest control following best practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of greenhouse and groundskeeping tools/equipment.
• Support special landscaping projects and seasonal displays.
• Ensure all tasks are performed safely and efficiently while upholding GLCC’s mission of hospitality and stewardship.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.
