About The Position

UNC Charlotte Dining Services is looking for a Graphic Design Intern to support marketing and brand execution across campus dining locations. This role is ideal for a proactive, growth-minded designer who wants real-world experience, fast-paced projects, and a strong portfolio coming out of it. This is not a passive role. You’ll be designing assets that students actually see, use, and engage with.

Requirements

Basic working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
Strong understanding of design fundamentals including typography, color, layout, and hierarchy
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines
Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of projects
Open to feedback and able to apply critique constructively
Willingness to support events when required

Nice To Haves

Photography experience
Experience designing for social media or digital platforms
Interest in branding, marketing, or creative strategy

Responsibilities

Design marketing and promotional materials including social media graphics, posters, menus, digital signage, stickers, banners, t-shirts, and event collateral
Support marketing campaigns from concept to execution
Assist with on-campus events as needed to help ensure branding is executed correctly (some evening or weekend work may be required)
Collaborate with the marketing team to maintain brand consistency across platforms
Incorporate feedback efficiently and apply revisions quickly
Organize and maintain creative assets and files
Occasionally assist with photography for events, food features, or marketing content (preferred skill)
