About The Position

The ARM (Advanced Robotics for Manufacturing) Institute is a Manufacturing Innovation Institute (MII) and is part of the Manufacturing USA® network. The ARM Institute leverages a unique, robust, and diverse ecosystem of 470+ consortium members and partners across industry, academia, and government to make robotics, autonomy, and artificial intelligence more accessible to U.S. manufacturers large and small, train and empower the manufacturing workforce, strengthen our economy and global competitiveness, and elevate national security and resilience. The ARM Institute leads the way to a future where people & robots work together to respond to our nation’s greatest challenges and to produce the world’s most desired products. The Graphic Design Intern will be part of the Strategy and Outreach team and will be responsible for helping to enhance the Institute’s communications assets to increase outreach and engagement with consortium members, the public, and users of the ARM Institute’s workforce resource, RoboticsCareer.org. These assets include, but are not limited to, website graphics, presentations, brochures, social media graphics, etc. This internship will provide great exposure to and experience with developing graphical content for a variety of audiences interested in U.S. manufacturing. This is a dynamic opportunity in a non-profit organization for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment.

Requirements

  • Candidates must be enrolled in college degree program and have completed the second year of college by the start of the summer internship program.
  • Undergraduate candidates must be working toward a 2-year or 4-year degree, preferably in marketing or communications.
  • Candidates must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 GPA scale.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with marketing tools like Salesforce, web/blog platforms, MailChimp, etc. a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop graphics for marketing assets like PowerPoints, sales sheets, brochures, virtual event invitations, email campaigns, event signage (including large-print projects like banners), social media, and the ARM Institute website
  • While developing assets, create templates that can be easily updated by ARM Institute staff members in the future using tools like Canva
  • Create and/or edit videos
  • Use Salesforce and other tools to support marketing and sales campaigns and generate reports. Training on Salesforce will be provided by ARM Institute staff.
  • Help to manage the ARM Institute’s online Member Community, finding opportunities for more engagement and ensure that content is up to date.
  • Assist with coordination of virtual conferences, tradeshows, webinars, and other virtual events as needed, including assistance in creating marketing materials for conferences, coordinating with speakers, and tracking deadlines for tradeshow abstracts.
  • Assist in curating content to be shared with the ARM Institute’s audience across various channels.
