About The Position

We are looking for a Graphic Design Associate to join our Creative Services team and deliver strong, brand-aligned assets for use in marketing, social media, digital content production, in-arena events, branded merchandise, and promotions. Designer will also prepare printing proofs for final output. This is a hands-on position requiring a strong ability to learn quickly and collaborate with others, while also working independently and efficiently under tight turnarounds, to maintain the quality of the LA Clippers brand. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for design and strong production skills. They should be a self-starter, hardworking, highly organized, have outstanding time-management skills and an ability to prioritize projects and deliver assets on-time. Previous sports and entertainment experience is not required but working understanding of the sports industry and NBA and basketball is a plus. Applications without portfolio of recent work will not be considered. This is a part-time role based in Inglewood, CA and is not eligible for benefits. Due to the nature of this industry, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule including weeknights, weekends, and holidays to cover high profile concerts and NBA games.

Requirements

  • High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and a working knowledge of the rest of CC suite of applications.
  • BA or BFA in Graphic Design or similar field is preferred
  • Flexibility in handling a variety of assignments, ability to meet turnaround times, and deliver under pressure.
  • Ability to work and communicate well with others.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of personal integrity and professional ethics.
  • Available to work evenings and weekends during NBA season; schedule is dynamic based on project needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Adobe After Effects and experience in motion design & video editing a plus.
  • Previous sports and entertainment experience is not required but working understanding of the sports industry and NBA and basketball is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work with existing creative to deliver supporting designs, as well as execute original designs, based on strategic business needs.
  • Nurture and maintain brand identity standards and overall design consistency across marketing platforms including digital, social, in-arena, apparel, promotions, and events.
  • Provide graphic design support for game presentation initiatives including in-arena environmental design & video board LED animations.
  • Build various digital sponsorship graphics.
  • Create content for the team's social media accounts.
  • Prepare print jobs for proofs and final outputs.
  • Research and recommend images to use in assigned projects.
  • Adhere to proper file management techniques to ensure efficient archiving and subsequent retrieval of projects.
  • Report to and take direction from the Creative Managers for all elements of visual identity and branding.
  • Maintain high standards of efficiency, consistency, accuracy, creativity and timely delivery of all requests.
  • Display keen attention to detail, spelling and grammar.
