Job Summary: The Grants Manager will provide coordination for the Population Research Institute for Science and Medicine (PRISM) programs including the summer intensive six-day institute, webinar series, and extended mentoring programs (Scholars and Champions). This position will also assist with data collection and the preparation of annual progress reports and other deliverables for the project. PRISM is a research training and mentorship program for early career faculty conducted with support from the National Institute of General Medical Sciences. The goals of PRISM are to enhance the readiness of early career faculty to conduct community engaged biomedical research. PRISM offers programming that consists of an annual six-day intensive research training and mentorship program for early career faculty on topics such as NIH grant writing protocol and procedures and methods for engaging communities in research. Faculty participants are eligible to apply for ongoing research mentoring, and a series of webinars are also held throughout the year on research-related topics that are available to Institute participants and other faculty across the U.S. The Grants Manager will also support the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s Health Equity Research for Action (HERA) Coordinating Center. This position will support and advise the HERA Coordinating Center team and investigators funded through the center. Specifically, this staff member will coordinate the administrative and financial compliance of grant activities, including subaward agreements, reporting deadlines, and communication with funded HERA investigators. They will work closely with OSP, the Project Director, and Administrative Research Coordinator to ensure timely submission of progress and financial reports. This individual will also manage the preparation, submission, and maintenance of Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols, amendments, and renewals. They will also provide support to ensure that research activities comply with all human subjects’ protections and regulatory requirements.
