About The Position

The Data and Grants Coordinator plays a central role in supporting Foundation Communities’ data infrastructure, reporting, and post-award grant operations. This position serves as a cross-functional liaison between program teams, development, and data systems, with a focus on building scalable, sustainable data processes that improve reporting accuracy and drive decision-making. Key responsibilities include managing and optimizing the organization’s Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) platform, coordinating performance metric integration across systems, leading the development of dashboards and training materials that promote data fluency organization-wide, and supporting the management and administration of government and private grants. This position is located at our Mission Plaza main office.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in a human services environment
  • Database management experience required
  • Highly comfortable with Excel, Word, Outlook and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated strength in problem-solving and ability to meet deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • High level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and respect for confidentiality

  • Database experience in grants management environment
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge and Efforts to Outcomes (ETO)
  • Experience with Oasis and OneSite

Responsibilities

  • Serve as lead administrator for ETO, supporting staff across the organization
  • Serve as central liaison for aligning data definitions and performance indicators across systems
  • Design and implement forms, reports, and workflows in collaboration with program teams and external consultants
  • Promote data standardization by establishing match keys and shared taxonomies
  • Develop scalable, replicable templates and procedures for data entry, cleaning, and reporting
  • Create and maintain training materials and documentation for staff to improve data literacy and consistency
  • Support cross-system integration efforts and the translation of complex data that allow for the creation of organization-wide dashboards and impact reports as needed
  • Audit and clean legacy datasets to ensure historical accuracy and readiness for trend analysis
  • Advocate for continuous improvement in data practices and foster a culture of data integrity
  • Maintain open communication across departments to ensure smooth systems management
  • Collaborate with the Institutional Giving and Grants teams to prepare data-informed proposals
  • Conduct initial contract review to verify data systems’ capacity to capture and report on required grant metrics and deliverables
  • Support the development of grant opening materials and integrate metrics into data systems 
  • Support real-time progress monitoring, review staff-prepared reports for data fidelity, and create other reports for funders, as needed
  • Assist with digital and physical grant file maintenance and performance documentation
  • Ensure grant-related data handling complies with confidentiality and security standards
  • Serves as secondary contact for grants administration-related items and support other grant management duties as assigned
