Requirements

  • Associate’s degree with 2 years of experience managing grants, projects or office administration.
  • Associate’s degree in business administration, journalism, communications or related area.
  • Must be capable of working with demographic data, health statistics, and economic forecasts.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with others in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Must have professional writing skills.
  • Grant writing experience is a plus.
  • Computer proficiency, particularly in online research, MS Word, and MS Excel.
  • Must have the ability to understand and follow Federal grant instructions and guidelines.
  • Reliable transportation to travel as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous grant writing experience at a professional level is desired.
  • Previous development work for nonprofit organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
  • Under the direction of the Director of Development, research potential funding agencies and identify opportunities to support programs, organizational development, capital, and other CMC projects.
  • Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with funding agencies and community partners.
  • Coordinate with Finance Department on following financial grant compliance and help determine tracking processes on new grants.
  • Assist Quality Improvement in identifying data collection requirements on new grants.
  • Communicate regularly with CMC staff to build knowledge and awareness of grant-related program goals, objectives, practices and opportunities.
  • Monitor compliance with grant deliverables and ensure that required reports and other paperwork is completed and submitted as established by the funding agency.
  • Maintain grant-related reference resources including funder research files, grant application deadlines, grant reporting schedules, and other information as needed.
  • Ensure that data on current grants is easily accessible organization-wide.
  • Maintain comprehensive files for grants that include applications, award letters, reports and other basic correspondence with funding agency.
  • On occasion, assist the Development team with research, writing, compiling data, and submission of competitive funding proposals.
  • Coordinate and communicate with funding agency, supervisor, Development team, program staff, finance, and community partners.
  • Travel to clinic sites when needed to conduct meetings and research.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
