About The Position

My Life My Choice, a survivor-led program of the Justice Resource Institute working to end the commercial sexual exploitation of children, is looking for a Grants and Data Coordinator to join their team! My Life My Choice, a program of the Justice Resource Institute, provides survivor-led solutions aimed at ending the commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC). My Life My Choice offers survivor mentoring, intensive case management, prevention education, and group work to young people of all genders impacted by CSEC across Eastern Massachusetts. Throughout the U.S., My Life My Choice offers evidence-based prevention and intervention models for replication, professional training, consultation, and advocacy. The Grants and Data Coordinator is a key member of My Life My Choice’s Operations and Development teams and plays a key role in helping us achieve our mission by serving as a lead writer, coordinating all aspects of foundation and institutional giving, and supporting the overall evaluation, data collection, and monitoring of My Life My Choice programming.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • A Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in grant writing, grants management or program evaluation.
  • Strong writing skills, exceptional organizational and time management skills, experience writing grant proposals, and a high level of comfort and accuracy in working with numbers, data, and spreadsheets.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, including use of qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Ability to comfortably work across departments and translate programmatic work into clear and compelling proposals and reports.
  • A high level of comfort and accuracy in working with numbers, data, and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills, time management skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience developing project budgets and tracking expenses against grant requirements.
  • Excellent computer skills, including the use of Microsoft products and database systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational privacy policies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines in a complex organization.
  • Ability to work independently as well as create positive working relationships within multiple teams.
  • Positive attitude and belief in the hope of recovery from commercial sexual exploitation.
  • Desire to work in a culturally and racially diverse office setting.
  • A personal interest in and commitment to social justice, in particular ending the commercial sexual exploitation of children.
  • Survivors of commercial sexual exploitation are encouraged to apply.

  • Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Responsibilities

  • Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, sponsor requests, and related materials tailored to funder guidelines.
  • Cultivate, manage, and steward a portfolio of existing funders, ensuring strong relationships and ongoing alignment with My Life My Choice’s mission.
  • Research and identify prospective funding opportunities aligned with My Life My Choice’s mission and priorities.
  • Collaborate with leadership across the organization to understand program needs and develop fundable project concepts.
  • Ensure all awarded grants are managed effectively, including project management, budget oversight, compliance, and reporting in partnership with the Finance team and program staff.
  • Partner with internal teams to gather data, stories, and impact metrics for use in proposals, reports, and other development communications.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, fund designation, and timely acknowledgement of grants and institutional contributions.
  • Maintain Salesforce database with accurate and up-to-date records of proposals, awards, and reporting requirements, as well as for general donations and data monitoring and reporting.
  • Work with Development and Communications staff on various initiatives as needed.
  • Provide program evaluation support and monitoring through data analysis and creation of reports.
  • Work with the Associate Director of Outcomes & Operations to effectively translate evaluation strategies and share outcomes with local, regional, and national partners – increasing their participation in data collection and evaluation.
  • Support data entry and tracking in Ehana (Electronic Medical Record), SurveyMonkey, Salesforce, and Excel, and other databases/systems as needed
  • Support the evaluation of statewide Prevention Solution Fellowship through development of materials for outcome and process measurement, coordination of stakeholder interviews, and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data sets.
  • Run and review quarterly reports for departments as needed, identify trends in outcomes.
  • Maintain up to date records to track key metrics for Survivor Mentoring, Prevention Solutions, Training and Partnerships, and Case Management.
  • Support My Life My Choice operations with administrative tasks, as needed.
  • Be an engaged and effective ally to survivors of commercial sexual exploitation if that is not part of your own identity.
  • Other tasks as needed.
