About The Position

SCOPE OF ROLE : The Support Services functions at S:US are carried out by a team of professionals with differing backgrounds who share deeply in the S:US mission. We provide resources and support to the program departments to collectively pursue that mission. Support Services is a collegial, supportive and dynamic culture that continuously seeks to improve. The Grants Accountant will report to the Director and/or Senior Director of Grants Administration and provide day-to-day support to the Grants Department. This position will assist with the management of a portion of SUS’s grants and funded programs as well as administrative tasks within the Grants Department. This individual will work closely with a variety of fiscal and budgetary functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Excellent communication skills – ability to present financial data to financial and non-financial customers
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated skills using Microsoft desktop applications including: Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Visio.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel creating models and using advanced formulas preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience – social services
  • 1+ years experience with ERP/Accounting systems – Microsoft Dynamics – NAV preferred

Responsibilities

  • Run financial reports to compile data needed to reconcile contracts and prepare and submit vouchers.
  • Maintain the P&L and review expense allocations on a regular basis for accuracy
  • Monitor the AR and cash management
  • Maintain accurate files for assigned funding source
  • Collect and organize documentation to respond to audit requests, as assigned by Director and/or Senior Director of Grants Administration.
  • Analyze year-to-date financial performance of assigned programs
  • Calculate revenue and expense projections for assigned programs
  • Ensure timely completion of reports and other correspondence
  • Assist with implementation and testing of new ERP Systems (and/or upgrade of the existing systems).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
