About The Position

Our Grant Writing Intern works directly with the Global Projects Manager on the Advancement Team. This intern has the best of both worlds where half of it is writing, and the other half is building relationships and interacting with foundations, donors and missionaries on the field. We would like to immerse our intern in our day-to-day operations, including donor communication, printed collateral, mail response items, grant writing, foundational relations. If you love writing and connecting with people, then this is the role for you! Applicants will be asked to upload 2-3 writing samples in your application. These could be papers you’ve written for a class, online articles, short stories, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Researching new foundations.
  • Connecting with missionaries about projects on the field to create project descriptions
  • Collaborating with our Major Gifts Officers to develop relationships with new foundations and donors.
  • Writing program logic models, proposals, and other essential writing pieces
