About The Position

Works with Pharmacology & Therapeutics Department faculty to increase the number of high-quality grant submissions resulting in an increase in external funding for the department. Overseas application preparation, including editing, formatting and revising grants; maintains centralized database of submitted applications. Provides training and technical assistance for grant submissions to investigators and support staff as needed; assists with preparation of progress reports and submissions to sponsor and ensures Other Support documents remain current. Additionally, provides administrative support for the department and education program.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in grant preparation and editing; or
• Associate’s degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in grant preparation and editing.
• NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelors’ degree and experience working in an academic/research environment.
• Previous experience with preparing budgets and experience with preparing and working with grant submissions.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as with a team.
