About The Position

Mill Creek Granite is seeking a skilled and experienced Granite Fabricator to join our team. As a Granite Fabricator, you will be responsible for transforming raw granite slabs into beautifully crafted countertops, vanities, and other custom stone products. Your expertise in operating machinery, precision cutting, shaping, and finishing granite will be crucial in delivering high-quality products to our customers.

Requirements

Experience: Proven experience as a Granite Fabricator or similar role, with a demonstrated track record of successful granite fabrication projects.
Knowledge of Granite Fabrication: Strong understanding of granite properties, fabrication techniques, and industry best practices.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and maintaining fabrication machinery, such as bridge saws, edge polishers, CNC routers, and hand tools.
Precision and Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to accurately measure, mark, and cut granite slabs with precision and meticulous attention to detail.
Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy granite slabs and standing for extended periods.
Safety Consciousness: A strong commitment to following safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
Team Player: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues during the fabrication process.

Responsibilities

Granite Fabrication: Operate various machinery and tools to fabricate granite slabs according to project specifications, including cutting, shaping, and polishing.
Measurement and Layout: Accurately measure and mark granite slabs to ensure proper dimensions and alignment before cutting.
Quality Control: Inspect granite surfaces for imperfections, defects, or inconsistencies and make necessary adjustments or repairs to ensure a high standard of quality.
Material Handling: Safely handle and transport granite slabs, maintaining proper care to prevent damage or breakage during fabrication.
Machinery Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on fabrication equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and identifying any repair or replacement needs.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Team Collaboration: Coordinate with other members of the fabrication team to prioritize projects, share information, and ensure efficient workflow.
Productivity and Efficiency: Optimize work processes and workflow to maximize productivity while maintaining quality standards and meeting deadlines.
