The role of the Grain Grader is to probe, weigh, and grade incoming corn from our customers.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Access to cell phone for test instructions
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime hours as needed depending on volumes/harvest season

Nice To Haves

  • Corn grading or elevator operating experience, preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs

Responsibilities

  • Verbal communication with inbound corn vendors to determine basic ticket information
  • Computer entry of basic ticket information as well as grades
  • Grain sampling using pneumatic sampling system
  • Operation of grain sampling and grading equipment
  • Visual and mechanical inspection of inbound corn
  • Basic daily housekeeping of the workplace
  • Repetitive lifting of 5 to 15 lb. articles
  • Ability to work with 1 to 3 other individuals in tight quarters in assembly line style
  • Able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to climb to a second story level
