Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Grain Elevator Laborer to join our team at our St. Louis, MO Milling location. As a Grain Elevator Laborer, you will be part of a team that works hands on to support the safe, efficient operations of a grain handling facility.

Requirements

Ability to work on your own without direct supervision.
Must be capable of lifting and stacking up to 50lbs unassisted.
Safely perform duties on ladders, platforms, or scaffolding.
Able to work in a processing/milling environment and adverse conditions (heights, exposure to dust, noise, and working with heights; limited exposure to chemicals and pesticides.
Completion of safety courses such as confined spaces.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean work environment, shoveling grain spills, sweeping floors, brushing down equipment, machinery, and workstations using brooms, shovels, vacuum, and hand tools.
Facilitate the moving, coupling, and unloading of rail cars in a safe and orderly manner.
Position gates or spouts to direct flow of grain from conveyors to storage silos.
Control flow of grain by opening gates, chutes, or hoppers.
Operate power tools including electrical/cordless/pneumatic devices.
Perform other duties as required.
