Graduate Tutor/Mentor
About The Position
Graduate Tutot/Mentor for Simon Scholars PA Program Responsibilities Tutors must abide by the applicable university student employment policies. Tutors work toward facilitating students’ understanding of key concepts, relations, and clinical application, if applicable. Tutors are expected to assist students with study strategies and approaches to learning and test-taking, not just reiterate course content. Tutors are encouraged to work with students’ learning styles and to assist with critical thinking, metacognition, problem-solving, and clinical reasoning, to the degree possible. Once tutoring hours are agreed upon between the tutor and the tutors are expected to be available for all their scheduled tutoring
Requirements
- Fully knowledgeable about the job; be able to handle responsibilities independently and effectively.
- Possess undergraduate degree in similar and/or related field.
Responsibilities
- facilitating students’ understanding of key concepts, relations, and clinical application, if applicable
- assist students with study strategies and approaches to learning and test-taking
- assist with critical thinking, metacognition, problem-solving, and clinical reasoning, to the degree possible
- be available for all their scheduled tutoring
