About The Position

The Graduate Student Assistant for Student Employment Services (SES) provides administrative and customer service support to students, parents, and employers regarding on- and off-campus employment opportunities. This position serves as a front-line resource by responding to inquiries through email, telephone, and in-person interactions. The Graduate Student Assistant also supports SES staff with departmental initiatives, outreach efforts, and special projects that promote student employment.

Requirements

Current University of Alabama graduate student enrolled at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters.
Must have a current Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application on file with our institution.
U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens may complete a FAFSA at studentaid.gov.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Effective listening skills.
Ability to effectively handle stressful situations.
Ability to provide professional support in a call center and front desk setting.
Strong team-player.
