The Graduate Resident Nurse utilizes the nursing process as the frame of reference for practice and provides direct patient care, with supervision from a registered professional nurse to patients and families. This is an entry-level nursing position for Graduate Resident Nurses. Training, evaluation, and competencies for this role are overseen by a Nurse Leader in the department. During the first year of employment, you will be enrolled in a Nurse Residency Program. Nurse Leadership will determine a balance of Clinical and Educational time. Job Description: 6 Southeast is a 20 bed Medical Surgical Telemetry Unit providing expert care for a variety of diagnoses with a focus on cardiac and respiratory conditions. Our team is committed to a supportive culture embodied in teamwork, collaboration, and mentorship. We are the designated unit for patients recovering from Feminizing Gender Affirming surgeries and have become passionate advocates for the transgender population.
