About The Position

Worley is a global professional services company specializing in energy, chemicals, and resources. They partner with customers to deliver projects and create value over the life of their assets, focusing on bridging the gap towards more sustainable energy sources while providing current energy, chemicals, and resources. Worley is seeking a Graduate Process Engineer for its Long Beach, CA office. In this role, the engineer will perform a variety of assignments under supervision, applying basic engineering theories, techniques, and practices. The position is designed for development, providing training in the utilization of relevant regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry standard practices for the control, development, and application of deliverables, while gaining exposure to company procedures and processes.

Requirements

  • Awarded a 4- or 5-year technical degree in science or engineering.
  • Will be actively registered with a local engineering governing body where required by law.
  • Knowledge of applicable local and international standards and statutory and regulatory specifications.
  • Competent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and process engineering specific software.
  • A recognized and relevant engineering degree or relevant postgraduate qualifications in engineering.

Nice To Haves

  • Typically, 3 or less years of relevant process industry experience.

Responsibilities

  • Generation, and review of the Process deliverables: H&MB, PFD’s, P&IDs, equipment specifications, hydraulics calculation, contingency analysis & process instrument data in their assigned area.
  • Assissting Process studies as needed.
  • Keep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in process engineering.
  • Assist and support senior personnel within the process engineering team.
  • Communicate effectively with the process engineering team and project stakeholders, including the Customer.
  • Identify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when required.
